Launch any public ramp or roadside in TEXAS.
Anglers may stage up on the water at their fishing spot with first cast at 6:00 AM.
Fishing public/open TEXAS waters only. No boundaries. No beachside fishing.
All fishing must be done from kayak, no wading. Life vest within reach at all times.
No ferrying from a motorized watercraft. 3HP - 70lb max electric power allowed.
200.00 per team entry fee, no membership fee. Pays 100% 1 in 5.
100.00 opt big red side will be offered. Pays 100% to biggest red of the event.
Artificial lures only, all company produced scents allowed. Gulp-StankStik, etc.
2 redfish per team max limit measuring between 20 and 28 inches.
.50 pound penalty for a dead fish. (same as .50 bonus for live fish) no culling of dead fish.
No iced or frozen fish allowed. Dead fish will be donated to food shelter and are subject to tour inspection of stomach contents.
Fish measured with head to left tail to right on Check It Stik with perfect tail pincher slid 1/2" from state size limit. I.E. 28" max length, pincher placed as 27.5".
Weigh in will take place at the parking lot adjacent to the Speedy Stop in Port O'Connor, TX.
Scales open at 2:00 PM- all anglers must be in line by 2:30 PM to have their catch count. Early fish check takes place from 1:00-1:45 PM.
