Mowdy Boats began in the mid 1970's with the dream of creating a fishing boat that is the best in the industry. Hal Mowdy built his first hull design and what followed was a successful tradition of master craftmanship that lasts to this day. From swampy back-bayous to fishing off the Gulf of Mexico oil rigs, Hal Mowdy was determined to build a fishing boat that could navigate through every water condition. That meant a boat design that could traverse a 6'' draft and be durable enough to offer a smooth dry ride in the Texas Gulf.
