About Us

The Service Club is a 501(c)3 charitable organization with its mission being to support projects, programs and events that benefit the POC Community. With approximately 40 members, funds are raised via bi-annual garage/bake sales (1st Saturday in April & October) and offering baked goods, crafts & plants for donations at POC Farmers Market (2nd Saturday of every month). Annual programs funded include Senior Citizens Christmas Luncheon, scholarships to POC Graduates, Benevolence Fund donations for food pantry/holiday baskets, 4-H students who show at the County Fair, academic awards for elementary students, classroom funds for teachers, memorial donations to POC Cemetery Association honoring deceased residents, and fulfilling requests for baked goods to support community events and fundraisers.
Our 2025 project was the addition of a patio cover over the slab to the side of the Community Center pavilion.
